Microneedling in Boynton Beach: My Approach to ProCell Microchanneling microneedling and Why It Works

Microneedling is the treatment I recommend when a client's concern goes deeper than the surface, acne scars that chemical peels haven't fully resolved, fine lines that surface exfoliation isn't addressing, or a loss of firmness and density that comes with aging.
At Beautiful Skin by Angela, I offer ProCell Microchanneling microneedling. Here's my approach and everything you need to know before booking.
What Microneedling Does
Microneedling works on a simple but powerful principle: controlled injury triggers healing. A device with fine needles creates micro-channels at precisely calibrated depths in the skin. The body responds to these micro-injuries by producing collagen and elastin, the structural proteins responsible for firm, smooth, youthful skin.
This response is not a surface effect
It happens in the dermis, the deeper layer of skin where structural change actually occurs. This is why microneedling addresses concerns that surface treatments cannot.
What It Treats
In my Boynton Beach practice, I use microneedling most often for:
Acne scars and post-acne marks
This is one of the concerns where I see the most dramatic improvement. Depressed acne scars (particularly boxcar and rolling scars) respond well because collagen induction literally rebuilds the depressed areas over a series of treatments.
Fine lines and early wrinkles
Particularly around the eyes, forehead, and mouth, areas where early collagen loss is visible.
Enlarged pores
Collagen buildup around pore walls tightens their appearance over time.
Skin laxity and overall texture
Clients who describe their skin as "losing density" or "not bouncing back the way it used to" often see meaningful improvement with a microneedling series.
What To Expect
Before the treatment, I apply topical numbing cream for approximately 20 to 30 minutes. The procedure itself feels like a light sandpaper sensation across the skin, manageable for most clients. Immediately after, the skin is red and feels similar to a moderate sunburn. This typically resolves within 24 to 48 hours.
I ask clients to avoid direct sun exposure for a week after treatment, use gentle products only, and apply SPF religiously. The skin is rebuilding during this window, treat it accordingly.
Microneedling results are cumulative
A single treatment produces visible improvement, but a series of three to six sessions, spaced four to six weeks apart, produces the full result. I map out the series with clients before we begin so expectations are clear from the start.
